Ingredients:

  • 4 cups watermelon, seeded and cubed
  • 1 cup strawberries, hulled and halved
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 2 teaspoons of your preferred sweetener, such as honey
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a blender, combine the watermelon, strawberries, lime juice, and honey (if using). Blend until smooth and well combined.
  2. Taste the mixture and adjust the sweetness by adding more honey if desired. Blend again to incorporate.
  3. Over a pitcher or big bowl, place a strainer with fine mesh. Pour the blended mixture through the strainer to remove any pulp or seeds. Press the mixture with a spoon or spatula to extract all the liquid.
  4. Discard any solids left in the strainer, and transfer the strained agua fresca to the refrigerator to chill for about 1 hour.
  5. When ready to serve, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled Watermelon-Strawberry Agua Fresca over the ice.
  6. Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.
  7. Stir gently and enjoy the refreshing Watermelon-Strawberry Agua Fresca!

This beverage is best enjoyed immediately while it’s cold. You can also make a larger batch and keep it refrigerated for a day or two, although it’s best to consume it fresh for optimal flavor.

Watermelon-Strawberry Agua Fresca is perfect for hot summer days or as a refreshing drink for gatherings and parties. It’s a great way to cool down and enjoy the natural sweetness of watermelon and strawberries.
